I am a 21 year old, self-taught photographer and videographer, with a passion. I began taking photos by following in my mothers footsteps as she is a professional photographer. When I was young, I simply enjoyed playing around with the camera, however, as I grew, I received my first smartphone which allowed me to take pictures on my time and of the activities that I enjoyed. In high school, I realized that taking pictures could even be a business, so I began saving for my first camera. After purchasing this, I taught myself everything I know using the internet and trial and error. At this point, I fell in love with pictures, specifically portraits. I now know that I must work in the art field which is why I am studying Digital Media at East Tennessee State University while also continuing to perfect my skills on the side.
